About the Michelin DEFENDER LTX M/S

The Michelin’s Defender LTX M/S is a Highway All-Season light truck tire designed for drivers of sport utility vehicles, pickups, and vans as well as shuttles and chassis cab vehicles, and commercial vans that use durable light truck sizes. Designed to deliver optimum performance, the Defender LTX M/S tire combines all-season traction in all weather conditions including light snow and offers a smooth and noiseless ride. The new Defender LTX M/S is a replacement for the popular Michelin LTX M/S2 tire. Although they share the same efficient tread design, the Defender LTX M/S is a stronger and more durable tire designed to meet rigorous demands of newer trucks. Using the innovative Michelin Evertread compound, Michelin designed the Defender LTX M/S tire to deliver improved performance in tougher conditions. The Defender LTX M/S features a symmetric tread pattern of sturdy independent tread blocks with solid 3-D Active sipes that provide all-season grip on wet and dry road surfaces. The four wide circumferential grooves, multiple horizontal channels and open shoulder slits support water evacuation from beneath the footprint, offering improved wet grip and stopping capability. Michelin’s MaxTouch Construction makes the LTX M/S an eco-friendly tire that delivers better rubber-to-road contact, which promotes dependable traction and extended wear by dispensing even distribution of braking, cornering when driving at high speeds. The inner structure of the tire consists of identical steel belts, which provide the strength and stability needed to manage heavy loads. NOTE: The Defender LTX M/S Highway All-Season does not bear the mountain/snowflake symbol, and does not meet the requirement of a severe snow traction tire
