Between Hawthorn and Kootenai Cutoff Streets on, Highway 200, you will find an excellent tire and service business called “Big Brand Tires and Service.” Located conveniently in Ponderay, Idaho, we drove from the Troy area to check out future tire possibilities because we needed a change. The litmus test was a very old flat tire taken off a rarely driven 1946 Willy’s Jeep. The old odd sized Michelin tire was already old when we purchased the set, used, over 15 years ago. Their wider size is no longer manufactured and we could only pray for a fix to take us through another dozen years since the vehicle is rarely driven. It’s been in the family for all those years and we pamper it as though it is a $250,000 Ferrería. So, they fix the tire, give us a report and “try” to send us on our way with no invoice. We go back into the garage, pick up the tire and talk with Austin, who fixed the antique, about future possible tires to use on the jeep and the problem with width size. He gave us two viable options, which was a relief. Austin rattled off the pros and cons of the only two sizes we should use on the 80 year old jeep, which by the way, is in perfect original condition. I was blown away by his knowledge and the time he took to explain the “WHY’S”! Then I went back inside to talk to Ryan, the manager, Bradley, another “jefe”, ….and the real boss, Kelsey! They were all fun and jovial. It feels go to have a day that goes by, during these contentious days of uncertainty, when business employees are in great moods and treating their clients with decency and good humor. They were working but still kind, informative and welcoming. I have over 5.7 million views of my Google Reviews, acquired since 2017, and have written few since I retired, however, I was so happy and impressed when I left that I came out of retirement for them. I hope Big Brand Company realizes what a tight team they have.

Fantastic service, best price for my tires anywhere between here and CDA. Also clean waiting area if you need to wait. They also tested my battery for free, and determined it was overdue for replacement. They had the replacement in stock and got that replaced as well. I’m feeling safe and confident in my vehicle for winter! Thanks BBT!
